How would Princeton admissions view a glowing LOR from an alumnus, who is also the superintendent of schools in town?

It will work only if the S of S and alumnus has known you personally and had the oppurtunity to interact with you and can comment on you as a student. If he knows you or of you as the son of so & so or relative of so & so than it will reflect clearly in the LOR.Then it may not have the effect you so desire.A generalalised LOR is not going to do much.BE careful about sending extra Letters of Rec.This will obviously be your 3rd LOR[one from School Counselor ,the second from a subject teacher and if you want to add a third]so choose a person who has known you personally and can add an altogether different dimension to your character and to you.
Hope that was helful.
