I have already applied to UCI, UCSD, CPP. I got into CPP but I’m still waiting to hear back from UCI and UCSD. I am taking a linear algebra/differential equations class currently but I am not doing so well in it (personal problems tbh) so I want to drop it. The math class is split into two sections at my school and I looked on assist.org and all the colleges I applied to say the “other half” is needed to transfer as one linear algebra class there. So essentially, I would just have to take the class again at a university since it is split into two classes at my jc for some reason. Btw, I am a computer science major, so I really only need linear algebra anyways, I think.
Is it a terrible idea to drop it and receive a W? Is that equivalent to getting a grade in the class or should I contact the schools about a change in my class schedule?
