Does anyone else feel that High School never ends?

<p>I feel like I’ve grown up much more than everyone around me. Even when I was a teenager I felt older. Looking down on it, I know I wasn’t, but my desires for an intelligent, mature, and responsible surrounding full of compassion and camaraderie… well they’re not here either.</p>

<p>I wish to god that I can have the enlightenment the politicians promise that comes with an education. All I’m really learning is how to work within and around a system.</p>

<p>I want to meet people who can be careful and care free. Who can read a science journal in the sand on the beach, smoking weed, locked into a conversation about time conversions and speed, and smile. And then save the drowning child in the surf.</p>

<p>I feel like I want to grow up. I’ve wanted to grow up for a long time. And I’m not there yet because I’m not ready for it yet. I’m still unorganized and wasting my time.</p>

<p>What’s the cure for us kids in purgatory? We know where we’ve been, we know where we want to be, but we don’t know how to ignore these facts and work with what’s happening right under our feet.</p>

<p>Yeah, I totally agree with you but only to an extent. The truth is, High School does end once you enter college…unless you’re at a frat-party school.</p>

<p>dude just hold on untill college. if you are as smart as you feel, you will get into a exsclusive college with other people as smart as you and things will loosen up a little because you are with alike people. </p>

<p>high school DOES end. the people who partied and didn’t do classes are going to go to the workforce and live in the doldrums the rest of their life and the people who studied get to go to college and experience life more fully. get organized, because high school will end faster then you think.</p>

<p>there must be other people in your school who are intelligent too. make some friends.</p>
