Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm still a college freshman, so I haven't taken all of the core classes yet. That means I'm still in the process of taking classes like English, arts, etc.

I absolutely cannot stand English. I'm not terrible at it; I got a 27 on the ACT in English and I do well overall, but I just cant stand a long in-depth English assignment. Unless its math or science, or some technical classes, which I love and could do all day, I'm bored to tears and full of dread. Anyone else like that?

I've had it happen before.
Deal with it, first year composition is an important class to take that teaches important skills. It's never going to be only things you enjoy doing no matter what you do.

Yep. Suck it up, and don't obsess over it, it will only make it worse. It is important, however, as when it comes to writing your engineering reports, you don't want to look like the illiterate fool that can't put proper sentence structure together...

Many people have this problem - an inability to handle out-of-major classes resulted in one of my brother getting kicked out of school! As others have said, no matter how much it sucks you've just gotta push through it and get it over with. This (a short period of unpleasant work) will repeat itself over the course of your life, so it will be good practice!

I hate english too, but took english at the local cc as a highschooler. feels good.

When I become Supreme Ruler of Earth, all English teachers will be sealed in concrete up to their necks and launched into the sun.
