<p>Yknow, there’s this actual psychological terminology for something like this. It describes how adolescent teenagers worry too much about how others perceive them to be, which explains why they’re so concerned about what clothes they wear in front of others, or how they don’t want to be seen with their parents. </p>
<p>Apparently, we’re supposed to grow out of that stage.</p>
<p>Well, I believe the OP is a high school senior headed towards UCLA. That would explain the concern. </p>
<p>When I was in high school, I slightly had the same attitude of wearing appropriate things. Once you step foot in college though, all of that goes away and you realize no one really cares what you wear.</p>
<p>I’m an incoming freshmen as well…I understand the worry but something as little as polo shirts isn’t something I would worry about</p>
