<p>Now, I know normally PVC is considered a really bad choice for things like mattress covers, etc., especially for babies, because of outgassing and all the chemicals that is has in it.</p>
<p>I am considering getting a custom made bed cover product, and the person who makes it uses PVC as one of the layers. <p>The website says their product is “free of lead, cadmium, mercury and phthalates,” but I don’t know how much safer it makes the product, if at all?</p>
<p>I know next to nothing about this subject but am hoping that someone else might.</p>
