Does anyone know of a way to protect the covers of paperback books?

I have a paperback text that my class will be using throughout the whole school year. I’m wondering if anyone knows of how to protect them so that their covers will not become damaged. Come on smart ccers! :D

lol. LAMINATE THEM

I usually use contact paper…it keeps them safe and hpapy!

i use packaging tape and tape up the cover. its kind of like laminating.

Do you know how to cover your hardcover textbooks? I guess you could try something similar for a smaller paperback.

Contact paper is best, but I had a paperback text book last year and simply covered it with a paper bag as I would with a hardcover, and it worked pretty well. (Far, far better than if I had done nothing.)

There’s really no excuse for publishing paperback textbooks though. I don’t understand why publishers do that. IB has them at my school, and it’s incredibly annoying to have terribly ripped and bent up books that are only 2 or 3 years old.

They’re cheaper, lighter, and easier to carry around?

Tape the edges…they’re the most vulnerable.

Whatever you do, don’t ever open the book. That damages the cover.
