<p>Hi there, I am originally German and over here in Europe we have 1 year MA degrees, however I would like to get my MA in California. Does anyone happen to know whether all MA in counselling (Marriage and family counselling, Counselling Psychology or something similar) are 2 year courses or does anyone know of any 1 year courses that are offered? I doubt there are any as I have been unable to find any at University websites etc. but I thought Id ask again, you never know.</p>
<p>You might try Alliant University in San Diego. Their MA in counseling is 3 semesters-- Fall, Spring, and a shortened summer semester. It seems like it takes one year. They do have a good reputation for their psych programs. Good luck!</p>
<p>thanks a lot! Yeah have heard of them as well, however I think theyd charge me the same fees for one year as many colleges would for two - theyre quite expensive. Ill look into it though, thanks!</p>
