<p>I second those recs, definitely take the ACT. A friend of mine took the ACT with no studying and got a 34. I think her first SAT was about 1900. Its probably not common to have huge score discrepencies, but you could get lucky.</p>
<p>As for CMC and Mudd, both use a wholistic approach but CMC looks a lot at leadership and EC so a low SAT isnt so bad, but Mudd is less focused about leadership/EC so low scores might be more detrimental there. But thats just my impression of the two schools.</p>
