<p>Does applying early action give a better chance of receiving merit aid? Would identical applicants, one applying EA and one applying regular, receive the same amount of merit aid?</p>

<p>It’s hard to know.</p>

<p>Rarely are there “identical students”. Two students with the same stats might be from different states, be different majors, one may be a URM, one may be a female in eng’g.</p>

<p>I doubt EA makes the difference.</p>
