Does being a low-income hispanic female with one parent count as a hook for NYU???

<p>Obviously there are other factors in the college admissions process like actually qualifying with grades, scores, and showing who are in your college essays.</p>

<p>But I’m just wondering IS this a good hook for NYU Tisch?</p>

<p>College Board said that 9% of students attending NYU are hispanic. I’m not sure whether this is because not enough hispanic kids apply or because they take more of another race than the other.</p>
