Does being the only student to score a 5 help?

<p>If you are the only student in your school to score the top score in a specific AP or IB exam, does noting that help your chances in any way?</p>

<p>Probably not. If anything I just think it makes it sound like you’re trying really hard to impress to adcoms in any way possible. I don’t know how they’ll take it, though.</p>

<p>At least a few thousand other students scored the same as you, depending on the exam. Not it will not help you for that reason.</p>

<p>I’d think that, if anything, it suggests that you’re applying from a high school that’s not so hot. I don’t think I’d want to do that.</p>
