I’m from out of state so Berkeley tuition is very high for me. I am not eligible for financial aid but after talking to the Wash U financial aid counselor he gave me $8000 in scholarships to sway me to attend the school. Would Berkeley match this scholarship if I told them how much I wanted to go but couldn’t afford it? Or would Berkeley not care since it’s a state school and I’m from out of state?

I have a similar situation:

My parent contribution for UTexas would be 25000.

Would Berkeley match this? Or come close? (I am a non-resident.)

Honestly I’ve heard that Berkeley does not have much money to give for scholarships and that this is especially true for out of staters because CA residents are their priority

I am pretty sure Berkeley would not match scholarships with out of state students.
