<p>More than most non-engineering majors, less than other engineering majors, most likely.</p>
<p>But it also has the advantage of being employable (and well compensated) straight from undergraduate… or at least more so than a biology degree. So if you want a job straight out of UG, it makes sense… At least as long as it is something you are remotely interested in. If it’s a means to an ends, then it is a tougher road than the alternatives, though some could argue it would be worth it to know some applied science even if you won’t use it in med school. The way of thinking and a good technological background could come in handy.</p>
