Does CalArts send back the sketchbook you send in for the application?

CalArts asks for you to mail in your sketchbook as part of the app. Do they mail it back? (I actually want to keep it) Or do they want a sketchbook solely for application purposes?

Mail it ? In this digital age, I thought everything can be sent electronically. I remember when I apply my design school, I sent everything online, and you either take pictures or scan your artwork and send along with it.

I think you should call CalArts to really find out the answer. ShowMe, yes, CalArts does require that you send in a whole sketch book and I believe other physical work. Most schools do accept everything electronically, and some require both physical and electronically delivered work.

Is there a standard size they need for it? 'Cause I made my own, and it’s just a little over half the size of copier paper.

It turns out, they do return it (read here): http://calarts.edu/sites/default/files/inline-files/2010/10/14/information.pdf

And ShowMe, CalArts requires that sketchbooks be submitted by mail.
