I’m still trying to figure out what schools to apply to when I’m ready to transfer out of CC. I plan on going to grad school for biomedical engineering. Will the rank of the engineering school matter much when applying to grad school?
Not too much. Your academic record, letters of reference and GRE scores are the primary data. if you are in and ABET accredited engineering program, then there is some guarantee of rigor and quality in the program.
@xraymancs Thank you! This helps. When should one start preparing for the GRE?
i assume that you are in the U.S. so you can basically take the GRE as a computer test whenever you want. I suggest that my advisees take the GRE in the spring/summer before they plan to apply (end of Junior year). This gives you the chance to take it again in October if you are not satisfied with your scores. You can prepare for the general GRE in a month or less.
Thank you again.
