does college reputation makes difference on job oppurtunities we get after college??

hi guyz,
i’m new to this forum.Last year i tried for admission to top iit{indian inst. of engg and technology}for btech course but couldn’t make it.so i took admission in a regional university with not much reputation to its account.this yr i took my last chance and gave the iit entrance exam for admission to those 7 IITs.bt today result came and i again didn’t make it!!!
i want to know does this means no job for me in future as i’m doing my btech from a regional univ.?
i always dreamed of iit level education but now i’m away from it as it was my last chance!!
does it make me less eligible for job oppurtunities ?

what do i need to do to make the most of the univ in which i’m nd make my self more available to job oppurtunities???

^My dad was in a similar situation. He didn’t qualify for IIT for undergrad. Instead he went to a regional uni in South India and then recieved admission into a more prestigious school in Bangalore (I think its like Tata Institute of Science - Not exactly sure). He got decent paying jobs, but then received admissions to Purdue Eng. and Columbia Eng. in the states and got his PhD and now works for Intel. I would say that going to IIT would not guarantee success, likewise not going to IIT will not spell doom. Just keep working hard and try to go to a better graduate school. The sky is the limit.
