Should I not take writing courses since columbia seas doesnt accept them? Just take hardcore math and science classes at cornell eng and try to do the best I can?

What courses should I take for columbia seas transfer. Does columbia see that 2nd term semester courses you will be taking on the application?

They don’t, no. I remember reading on their site that they actually discourage the sending of mid-year reports (for transfers), but don’t quote me. I recommend that you visit their website.

Taking a writing course might help you earn an exemption from the university writing requirement which you would have to take otherwise. Mid term reports from second semester are not required at all but if you think it is better than your first semester grades and will help your case then send them. BY taking a lot of advance math/science courses(by advance I mean junior and senior level courses) you will jeopardize your GPA and the added rigor of your schedule might not bring any benefits with regards to your admission
