The gap is $6,500. Unless the school promises to meet need, though, the gap is irrelevant. If the school promises to meet need and used Profile (or their own form), the gap may well be lower or nonexistent. This is because FAFSA EFC is not used by this school to calculate need for institutional purposes.

$5k could be financial aid while 10k and above could be too. The school provides EFC based on the FAFSA. How does the CSS profile determine the EFC and how to get the CSS profile info?
