Does Commitment Deposit affect one’s application for federal financial aid?

Agree with @Sybylla, the OP is not comprehending what is being asked on these posts.
He doesn’t seem to understand that some schools will use the EFC data, and some schools will only use the Profile, while some schools might use information from both.

Each school has a different and limited amount of money. It’s probably been reserved and gone by now.

Now is not the time to debate how to get merit aid or a full ride. The student applied to schools without asking for FA and has to backpedal to try to find grant money to pay for his/her education. Money has been reserved and accepted by most of the other students they HAVE to cover. I don’t think this poster understands that the school has other students to cover.

The OP did not give himself the advantage of time when filing his paperwork and has less than two weeks to figure it out. As I’ve said in the other post, this student may not have any university to attend this fall because of all of the leap-froggin’ by the family.

The bill is due during registration for classes.
