Does Commons Seminars at Vanderbilt help boost your GPA?

Hi I am a freshman at Vanderbilt. I see that in spring semester freshmen can enroll in a commons seminar and its 1 credit. Please advise if one should take to boost GPA or it really doesn’t help too much. Thanks
