does cornell require SAT II Math II ?

In order to be admitted into cornell, is it a requirement to take the SAT II Math II ?

It depends on what college you’re applying to and what you plan to study.

All the colleges except Arts and Sciences require a Math SAT II but it can be of either level. A&S only requires 2 SAT II of any subject. This is at least what was required this year (for the Cornell class of 2012) but I can’t imagine it would change.

you can also take Math I, it’s easier…

kind of cop-out but w/e…it works

“you can also take Math I, it’s easier…”

I have heard that math I is easier, but it has a terrible curve. If you get a few wrong, you will drop drastically. So, it’s still hard to do well on it.

Math II on the other hand supposedly has a great curve. You can get many wrong and get an 800.

ah hmm ok that makes sense. i didn’t know that.

Math 1 may have easier questions, but its easier to get a higher score on math 2 since it has a much better curve from what I’ve heard. I only took math 2 so I can’t directly compare them.
