Does Dirt Bike Racing Count as a Sport?

I’m a junior and I’ve been starting to look at colleges and do research and I’m worried that because I don’t play any school sports or in any clubs that it will be hard to get into a good college. I take multiple AP courses and do pretty good in them, I am not worried too much about my grades or test scores.
I played lacrosse in middle school but I never liked it. Now I am involved pretty heavily in dirt bike racing, and an sponsored by a few companies. How much am I going to be held back because I’m not involved with extra curricular school activities?

Thanks
Justin

I would think dirt bike racing would stand out as unique and interesting, especially if you have sponsors and it’s something you spend a lot of time on.

Hard to say based on the scant information provided by you in this thread.

Depends upon your standardized test scores, GPA & teacher recs. relative to the schools to which you applied .

That’s relieving to know. I’m hoping for a 1300 on my sat, I took the psat and got a 1240 with very minimal preparation and I just took the act last month with very minimal preparation and got a 23, not too pumped on that but I know I can get it up a good bit.

@JustinF_KTM297 schools like to see that you have an EC but no where does it say that EC needs to school related. So I think you will be fine with dirt bike racing and like has already been said it will make you stand out. Lots of kids play football, soccer, etc. not as many dirt bike race.
Getting into a good college(depending on your definition of a good college) will depend more on your GPA and test scores and having a great application essay.
