Does everyone have their popcorn ready for Harry & Meghan?

The stories that have been popping up on my feed are not about Meghan and Harry but about Camilla and how she is mean to Charlotte and Catherine, how she didn’t want Catherine to be Catherine but Katherine, how William fired Camilla’s sister and made her move out of a royal residence. Many little stories of how Catherine dresses to upstage Camilla, how they fight over Diana’s tiaras, how Camilla snarled at Charlotte so Charlotte wouldn’t curtsy to Camilla at the coronation… Yup, it seems they have moved on from leaking H&M stories and are now on to Camilla as the wicked one.

It seems like that family is pretty much just a nest of vipers these days. With all the inter generational resentment and King Charles’ apparent lack of interest in anyone but Camilla, I almost pity the members who are still in the inner circle, particularly the 3 grandchildren. Those poor kids probably don’t stand much chance of having a pleasant, tension free childhood, adolescence, or adulthood.

You honestly belief that? Williams children seem extremely well adjusted and have Catherines family as well as Charles and Camilla. Take what you read in the media with a pinch of salt.

I totally agree, especially when the media in question is a British tabloid.

Then why are you saying that about these kids.

Not all the reporting in the British press is negative (gift link):

I guess all the passive-aggressive cheap shots at Meghan don’t count.
The tone of the entire piece was consistent with all the other nasty stuff they all write.

Not impressed.

Harry’s video is a fun promotion for the Invictus games. Regardless of the continued negativity from the press, he seems happy in his pursuits…and no leaks to/from the Royal Rota!

And here’s an update on the lawsuit:

My favorite quote from the Harry interview at the The New York Times ’ 2024 DealBook Summit concerning speculation that he’s headed for divorce or moving back:

“It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the ■■■■■■,” he continued. “Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.”

One can find video of the event online, however here’s a link to an article about the onstage interview:

Meanwhile Meghan attended the Paley Honors Award Gala in LA.

That is such a corporate Christmas card. How about a family shot leaning against a fence post in a field? Or if they don’t want the children’s faces shown (which I get), do a cute photo from the back.

That is such a click bait post. Nothing to see. Moving along.

From the posted article:

“PEOPLE understands that while this card is meant for professional use, the family has sent a separate, private card to their close friends and family, which will not be shared publicly.”

So by design, it is a corporate card from The Archewell Foundation.

The internet is already dissecting it as AI-generated, saying Harry has extra fingers and things are askew with the kids’ & Meghan’s bodies. And some of the dogs look like they were photoshopped in *Not saying I agree, just pointing it out.

Since they do a separate, privately distributed Christmas photo and card, I wonder why they would bother with “public” one that is bound to draw scrutiny?

My observation of the family picture is that it looked very far away and out of focus. For as high profile as they are you would think a photo of the family would be of a higher quality, but it also could be that they may have wanted to include more candid shots for the collage card.

And now there’s an announcement:

After reading the article I’ll check it out. I liked this…”We’re not in the pursuit of perfection, we’re in the pursuit of joy”.

I just saw previews of that Megan being a Martha. I was appalled that her hair was not tied back and falling into the food.

I don’t know that I recall all women or men on cooking shows having their hair tied back.
