I am currently in my second semester of college. I am majoring in political science and hope to transfer to a four year university. I’m actually tired let’s say of minimum wage jobs and it will be a long way to get to the career of my dreams which is to become a lawyer. Recently I’ve thought of becoming a phlebotomist, small career maybe earn $13 an hour. Who knows. But I am no where leaving my dreams I just need a better paying job to survive until I reach them. However I depend on financial aid at the moment, I get a lot of money, but am I able to study to careers or let’s say sign up for other classes? I really want a small career on the side so I can have money for my expenses. Has anyone actually done something similar before? I’d like to hear. Thanks
FAFSA will pay till you get your FIRST undergraduate degree for limited number of years (6 ???). Double majoring students usually keep some core requirements til the very last semester to get both degrees paid.
Does phlebotomist requires classes at CC and certificate only, not Bachelor degree? Then get certificate and continue studying PS
You can take certificate and core classes at the same time.
But anyway you have to discuss it with your CC advisor.
