<p>With some very few exceptions, and these are mostly logistical ones, the top “20” private colleges (both universities and LACs) interview all candidates. So that you received the invitation does not have any particular import regarding your application. And indeed the interview itself, even when it appears to have gone very well, tends not to have much to do with whether or not you are accepted. Think of the interview as a mini-information session and an opportunity to show some person connected with the university who you are.</p>
