Does getting drunk make it easier to have fun?

Or does it make you seem more fun to others? In the “crazy/stupid” kind of way (since people laugh at crazy/stupid things)

Do you have LOADS of fun if you’re doing really wild things when drunk?

Both. Because you have more fun, you seem more fun to others. Just my take.

Well it makes you do things you wouldnt do if you werent drinking. And if you dont drink too much then you’ll be ok. But the problem is when you are sick the next day. Usually its more fun if you are not drinking cause you can make fun of the drunk people when they dance funny and do and say stupid stuff.

If you drink a mediocre amount to the point where you’re just at the “buzzed” level then you will feel a little more relaxed and not so nervous around people and you will probably be feeling pretty good. Which will probably make you feel like you’re having more fun and are more fun to be around. If you keep going past that then your speech gets fairly sloppy and you stop thinking things through completely. Which can lead to fun things or bad things (watch what you say!). And if you decide to keep going past that even, you become the guy/girl who is a sloppy mess. Often times doing stupid things or getting very emotional or getting sick. This stage is usually not very much fun for anyone.

Space your drinks out and have some water throughout the night and before you go to bed and you wont feel quite as bad in the morning.

Getting buzzed. Fun. You are observant, you can laugh at your friends, etc.
Getting drunk. Also fun. This time you can laugh at yourself and all of your friends. It also means you have probably been playing drinking games, which is fun.
Getting sloppy and weird. Bad. You may get sick and you will black out. You will feel sick the next day. It’s not fun.

And make sure you’re only drinking in the evening, with lots of munchies. I visit friends in college and stay at their apartment, it’s right next to a Wawa. Packed from 1-4 AM. The best subs…mmmm. I jsut want to get drunk and eat a turkey hoagie with the works.

And also make sure you are with friends. It’s more fun that way. And there is usually someone less drunk than you who can handle a situation if it gets out of control or something happens.

On another note, drinking alone and at all times of the day are signs of alcoholism.

Yes, it does. It lowers your inhibitions, so you’ll find yourself being wayyy more audacious than normal.

it definitely makes me more sociable and fun to be around (even getting buzzed), but it can lead to stuff that makes you look stupid (like throwing up on the floor in waffle house) and I had a friend last night who blacked out.

so there are plus and minuses

I think I am kind of a nuisance when I drink. I am already that “crazy/stupid” kind of fun when I am in a really good mood without getting drunk, and with alcohol it’s just excessive and less controllable. :stuck_out_tongue: Better for me all around to stay sober.

Yeah it does, especially if you’re aware of how drunk you are.

The real winning combo is being drunk and high… only then will you find humor in something like a painting of a fox and turtle.

Of course it makes it more fun. You’ll be much more social when you’re drunk.

Depends on the person. I am more extroverted when I drink, and more conversational, which creates more chances for fun. It can help if you are an uptight person.

Drunk and high is the combo of death as far as I’m concerned. Unless you mean a little buzz and high. I get the spins like crazy. Last time I did that, right before I passed out, I just remember seeing the tv spinning up onto the ceiling and back. You gotta know just the right combo of each to mix alcohol and weed that’s for sure.

When I’m drunk I’m more inclined to say what I think. So I probably don’t come off as very fun when I’m screaming/telling people off in a crowded room.

Then again I do know people that get high regularly when they’re drunk so maybe it’s just a tolerance thing. I only do it like every few months.

Yes. Just not blackout

Well I was pretty **** drunk, had like two 40s in me, I only took a few hits of weed though. It was enough to get me laughing at the dumbest things.

weed and alcohol is a terrific combo, especially because you can’t OD from weed. when you start mixing drugs with alcohol, it’s a little dicey, but a lot of fun.

I don’t smoke pot. But absolutely, getting drunk makes it easier to have fun! Especially in a party situation I hate being that sober person…because I don’t understand how the heck everyone else can be so happy and lovey-dovey. But if you have too much sometimes people turn angry or depressed/mopey (especially if they have a lot of pent-up negative feelings) or do some really dumb stuff so just make sure to know your limits and be careful. Moderation is key (sometimes)

Well, it does make it easier to get STDs, unplanned pregnancies, liver failure, alcohol poisoning, life ruining addiction, beat up for saying ridiculous things, die in a car wreck, have an accidents, be taken advantage of, and defame your reputation.

Not sure about the fun though.

@Moosepig, like a gun, alcohol’s effects depend on the user.
