<p>…and if they do what do they factor in? I know most schools use GPA, SAT’s, and school location, but what are the factors for Harvard? I know in some cases schools actually inflate or deflate your GPA according to a ratio given for your high school. Does Harvard do this as well? For example, if someone graduated from Andover, or a good public school such as a magnet or a Governor’s School, their 3.8 could show up as a 4.0. Since the public/ private ratio is somewhere around 60/40, can GPA inflation explain why public schoolers have such a tougher time getting in?</p>
