<p>it means that when giving your SAT score you can pick the top scores from different sittings, which i believe mudd does.</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure one of the HMC admissions reps said that they do, but I think the reality is that there’s a large gray area between treating all scores equally and only taking the top of each section. Evaluating standardized tests is a holistic process for colleges like HMC (unlike, say, the CSU admissions, which are based on fixed algorithms). Colleges like HMC encourage prospects to take risks with regard to test taking because it gives them more information on which to base their decisions.</p>
<p>So officially, if I’m not mistaken, I believe their answer is “yes.” But I’d take it with a grain of salt.</p>
