Does having A Mid-Range Average Income Bracket help out in the admission process.

I will be doing Early Decision to Columbia Univesity, Specifically SEAS for PREMED in a few years and have found out the being first generation will help me out, I live in New York so I’m NOT an international which would make a low income bracked go fully against me.

But what if you’re a U.S. citizen?

I’ve recently heard it helps?

I’m talking about an income around $90,000-$95,000-$100,000

Somewhere around there.

Is English your first language? I can’t understand what you’re asking.

sorry and yes english is my first language lol. Just typed extremely fast cause i had to go somewhere. anyway

im wondering if having an average income will make adcoms think of a person with good SAT scores gpa and vice versa to be optimistic.

Will it help in the admission process

Optimistic?

you know what just forget this thread

to answer what i think is your question your income bracket shouldn’t affect you. you’ll probably qualify for FA.

…but yea, this is a pointless thread.
