does having worse second score bad

I got 2090 when i first took the sat in novemeber. I took the march one as my second try but i think i did worse than the first time. I want to cancel the score but since i dont exactly know how i did i feel reluctant to cancel it… so is having worse second score look really bad? If it doesnt affect me that much im willing to keep the score to see how i actually did…

Some colleges ask for all scores. If they don’t ask for all scores then you can send the scores you want to with Score Choice. They don’t have to know you scored badly on a test. Also, if you have a 2090, and a score close to that in the PSAT, and you screw up here, then colleges can see that this was just a test you messed up on.

However, if you’re sending the scores to a school which requires all scores, and you know you screwed up really badly, then you may want to cancel. It will hurt you then, since getting a 2090, a 209, and a 1750 is worse than getting a 2090, and a 209. This is assuming that you took the PSAT. If you didn’t, and the college asks for all scores, then screwing up royally here may seem the first test look like a fluke, which is even worse, and you may want to cancel.

Yeah I would recommend canceling your scores asap if you really think you did worst because it will hurt you if you apply to school who don’t take score choice and you have a second lower score.

-Colleges do not see the Psat
-Most colleges DO accept score choice.

Stanford, Yale, UPenn, and the UC system does not accept score choice.

Make of that what you will.
