Guys i wanna ask does high ACT score cover for low G.P.A and what are the most important factors that colleges consider…?

No, sorry. The GPA is probably the single most important factor in most college admissions. Test scores should corroborate your grades.

If you look at some of the websites of the colleges you’re interested in, you’ll see what other factors they take into consideration.

it doesn’t cover, unless one is “okay” and the other is great. if one is really bad, it doesn’t look to good, because that could just mean that you’re good at taking standardized tests

Well… I am actually starting to question whether colleges are telling the truth about GPA vs. test scores. I suppose it depends on the college, and “how high” and “how low” you are talking about. I have a kid with a 3.7 UW GPA (that is not high by CC standards) and 2380 superscored SATs, with 2 800 on subject tests in areas that are far apart academically. She is probably in the top 20% in her HS class; they don’t rank, so can’t tell for sure. She has quite a few ECs, a few that are “interesting” and different, but no state/national level awards and no leadership. She got accepted EA to U of Chicago with merit aid. We will see about the rest of her admissions… she has a few other top colleges in her RD application set. So that is just one data point. And as potatosrule said, her GPA is okay and her test scores are great, so that could explain it.
