Does human emotion require justification?

nope .

Yes (well I’m moral relativist, but I’d prefer it to be with justification). Don’t listen to reactionaries. If we always listened to reactionaries, we’d understand NOTHING by now. We wouldn’t know ANYTHING about the basis behind happenings such as lack of willpower.

Remember - people are socialized in their cultures, and cultures are extremely ephemeral compared to understandings. Understandings help influence cultures of the future. Remember the days when homosexuality was banned? Now that we have a biological understanding of it, it’s becoming more and more accepted now. That’s one of the best things that comes with the justification of human emotions.

(btw, this is what I desire, of course, what I desire is of little consequence [and just as valid as any other’s desire])

Why do you say no, Sheed30?
