Does it hurt to take SATII tests multiple of times?

Hi all!

I just wanted to ask if it would hurt my application if I take the same SATII test number of times. I’ve been taking Math2C for three times, and I didn’t get the scores that I feel satisfied in. Do you think I should take 4th one if I feel certain that I will get a better score?
Also, is it possible to select your SATII scores when you are sending them in??

You can use Score Choice to select your best Subject Test scores. However, there are some colleges that expect you to send all scores – Stanford, Yale, and Pomona are examples. You should also think about whether your 4th attempt will be considerably better than the first 3.

Thank you! I was unsure if score choice was possible. Then can I choose one certain test score on certain date? Or do I have to send in all the test scores of other tests from October?

Can I send in just US history? Or does the scores of Math2C transfers as well?

For schools that allow score choice, you can choose any of the scores from any date- you don’t have to send all the tests from a single date if you don’t want to.
However, it’s not really a good idea to keep retaking the same SAT II, IMHO.
