Does it hurt you to practice from "fake" tests?

Hey guys, I’ve learned that the best prep is doing real tests, but an older friend gave me PR’s 1296 ACT practice questions book to help me prep for the june ACT… and I was wondering if it would hurt me (some prep books say so) to get some good practice out of it. I am also planning to do all 3 tests from the real ACT prep guide that I got myself. Thanks in advance!

I can’t imagine it would hurt in Writing and Math. I would be neutral on the Reading and Science

It might not be as beneficial as the normal tests, but you would still get some benefit from it. It might be harder or easier, but it could not hurt to practice.

In all of my preparation for the ACT, I only used practice tests. I ended up scoring a 30, which was higher than I was expecting. I think the “fake” tests can only help you to do better on the real test.

Practice makes perfect.

Although I heard the mcgraw-hill practice tests are easier than the real thing. Also, barron’s tests are much harder than the real thing (personal experience) because the types of questions on barron’s is different than the real deal.

could you send me the 3 tests via e-mail? I need fake tests

Princeton Review questions are spot on with the ACT.
