Does it look bad to take a 5th year of high school online?

I am one year of PE short of graduating high school. I’m taking a PE course online on my consolers’ direction, but I’m thinking of not doing it so I can faile to graduate and have an extra year to improve my GPA, get an advanced math course completed so I can enroll in a college enstead of community, and study for the SATs.

One of my plans I’m considering is to leave my public school after my senoir year and enroll in a online high school after I fail to graduate.

Online school I heard is less time consuming then public school, so it will give me time to get a part time job and save up for college. It sounds embarrasing to stay at a public school for a 5th year too. But, I’m worried if it will look very bad on my application. I don’t want to go to a Ivy League college or something, but I would like to go to at at least a “good” college if that makes sense.

Extra info:
(My GPA schould be above a 3.5 after a 5th year. I have taken four AP classes so far in my school career and have done some social clubs. I want to do Jazz Band to help my college application and was wondering if I can take one public course in the morning and the rest online)
