Does it matter?

I am a senior and have a D+ in an a-g course, yet, I got into multiple 4 year universities and they have seen my final transcript. I am, however, probably going to end up going to a JC to transfer to better schools than I was accepted to.
My question is, do I have to retake that class at a JC to be eligible for UC’s and/or privates? I am going to apply as a sophomore transfer to multiple privates (30 credits) and they don’t look at your high school record once you get 30 credits. If I don’t get into any of the privates I will apply as a junior transfer (60 credits) to UCs. I am not sure of what UC policy is but I would be ineligible to apply as a freshman out of high school due to the D. I am confused, however, on if I still must retake the class if they don’t look at your hs grades once in JC.

no you dont have to retake classes if your going to somewhere like UC’s.
just imagine it as a whole new slate
the down side is youll hafta retake some stuff unless you have AP scores to place out of them or you take placement tests out.
