<p>Not true. I know someone who is extremely well connected and would, no doubt, have the money to build buildings. She was originally deferred last year ED and then later rejected outright. She didn’t have the chops, as they say, and no amount of money or connection changed that.</p>
<p>Now… if you DO have the chops, I think it can bump you over the edge.</p>
<p>I know a dimwit who made it in cuz his father got a job at the school 1 year before the kid applied.</p>
