does LSAC save letters of recommendations?

I had originally planned on applying to law school this year and go to law school in the fall 2009, since I am already a senior now. I have already gotten 2 professors to write general letters of recommendations for all law schools. LSAC has confirmed that they received these letters. I have filled all of my applications but have not submitted them because I wanted to wait until I have taken the LSAT. Well as time went on, I felt I wasn’t quite prepared to take the LSAT. I know how important this test is, so I contemplate about taking it June since the February date is soon and by this time I’m sure most of the applicants have already submitted their materials.

Although I can wait to take the test in June and re-fill my applications in the fall 2009, I don’t want to worry whether or not they will keep the letters of recommendations on file. I’m really worried about that. I really don’t want to go back to my university and ask the professors to write the same letters again.

So my question is this: will LSAC keep the letters of recommendations on file to be used the following admission cycle (fall 2009), even if you filled out your applications for law schools last fall but did not submit them?

Your entire LSAC file including recommendation letters is kept for five years from time of starting it and then five years from time you take any LSAT test if you take it after opening the file.
