Does MIT expect the 100 words short answer questions to be of perfect prose?

Just like the title says, I am curious if the admissions will be expecting the short answer questions to be very creative. Though the questions do not have that much space for creativity, will admissions put significantly more weight on the three 250-word responses than on the <100 word responses?

They’re not looking for perfect writing as much as they’re looking for who you are. You don’t need to use abstract metaphors or really figurative language to answer a question about what you do after school, for example.

Thank you rspence.

I saw someone ask this question on another website-

Do you think it would harm my app if I mentioned the same things in my interview and essays?

No. You are over-thinking this.
Focus on the match between you and MIT.
