<p>Is it a fact that the top universities would favor students who somewhat meet the expectations of that university and are rich, rather than a student who meets or even exceeds those same expectations but will need a lot of financial aid? Do top schools like a Stanford or WashU do that?</p>
<p>If you mean rich, as in can give the school millions, yes, all schools look at these students with great interest. If you mean can pay full tuition, all schools need many of these, but Stanford level schools have their pick of top students who can do that.</p>
<p>Lol… For my 150 word “Why Yale” paragraph statement, I wrote that I choose their school for EA because of their great financial aid program… kinda brutally honest now that I think of it, but I got in… and applied for financial aid…</p>
