Does my UMich Community Essay Topic make me seem superficial??

I was having trouble thinking of a topic for my UMich supplemental essay on community, so one of my friend said maybe I should write about being a fangirl (she was half joking). Obviously I immediately dismissed the idea at first, but then I starting wondering if it would be that bad. Do you think this would make me seem really superficial?

Part of me thinks that I’d be wasting one of the few opportunities I have to impress the admission officers, but I also think that its probably something thats not done a lot?

You would have to go about that very carefully. Without hearing the “moral of the story” I would say yes, it does sound a bit immature, but the odd-ball essay topics tend to be the best if you can tie them together well.
