Does Northeastern include the Writing portion of the SAT for admissions?

^ Topic. Thanks in advance.

I don’t believe they consider it when reviewing SAT scores. They quoted their ‘median’ SAT for the freshman class as around 1431, so that sounds like they do not consider the writing portion. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

they do consider it. See link:

I also think that 1431 is wrong. If you look at the mid-50th you will see that for reading it is 620-700 and math is 650-730. Granted there are some that are above that and some that are below but the mid-50th represents the vast majority of students.

The median is 1341, not 1431: a transposition.

They consider the writing portion, but I don’t think it is as important.

tom - where do you find the mean?

Sorry - I stand corrected. 1341. Thank you TomSr.
