Does PALS make a difference on your college application?

I will be a senior next year and am considering taking pals after I saw how much fun my friends were having in it this year. But I’m kinda hesitant about because of the large fees/dues and school business days; I would look forward to working with kids but I’m already associated with a nursing home and a hospice…would it be worth it? I mean would taking pals give me a boost to my college applications? If yes, to what extent?

Well, it depends on when you are applying. If you plan to apply in the fall, it will probably be useless (I don’t think colleges will really care if you have participated in a program for 2-3 months). However, if you plan on taking a gap year or something similar, it may help.

Also, when you say “make a difference”, it may or may not depending on many other factors.
