I am applying to BS/MD programs and I’ve noticed some do not allow transfer students to apply. However, I also want to apply to collegiate high school at a nearby college that may allow me to receive an associate degree. Does that make me transfer if I were to be accepted and obtain an associate?
In most cases, college courses taken while still in high school do not make you a transfer. Many students complete an associates degree along with their high school diploma. Often this is called dual enrollment.
If you want to use those credits you got, you might want to look at your State U first…other colleges may not transfer them. ALso for med school, they usually don’t want you to take Bio, Chem, Physics, Org Chem at a CC if possible…ask how that would work.
