Does this mean that January 1st was the final date to file a CSS profile application? If so I’m screwed…

Of course not. I sent in my CSS Profile after I got accepted early. No matter what you’ll get an award if you qualify. If you send it in too late as in like March, the award may come later though.

Just send it in as soon as possible.

However if you sent it in late and got in early anywhere they can also notify you of your award along with RD applicants with your prefrosh package.

No, you’re not screwed. Call or email the college. Most colleges will take applications filed after the priority deadline, although it may mean you won’t be first in line when they start making financial aid deadlines, but if it’s a school like Yale that promises to meet need of all admitted students, you’ll still get financial aid. It is important, however, to contact them directly to get the full story.

how about Vanderbilt? They say they meet 100% need-blind no matter what the circumstance.
