I know that research for credit in such areas such as the bio or psych major can count for letter grade academic credit. However, let’s say I were to take 2 credits of research next semester. Does this count as a half a course? That’d make life so much easier since with the types of courses I’m taking I cannot forsee a semester where five courses wouldn’t be pushing it, and I really want to do research. So is it a course as well as academic credit? Thanks!

I think so…because if you want to do say Bio research for credit…you have to register for Bio G 299 or 499…depending on the level of research you will be doing. If you’re in CALS…you can only have 15 credits of research count toward the 120 you need to graduate and they cannot count toward CALS distribution requirements.
