Does retaking a failed class still show the D?

I go to De Anza and I’m most likely going to get a D in my GE class unless I get a 93% on the final for a C and was wondering if retaking a failed class is better than apossible C. Right now I’m taking 4 classes total in which I’m getting As/Bs.

My first quarter I had 2 Bs and 1 A, second quarter I had 3 As, not this quarter I’ll probably have 1 A 2Bs and 1 C or D. De anza doesn’t allow retakes for C’s, but allows it for D’s so I can take my GE and get and A this time.

Your D will always show on your transcript. It will not be counted in your GPA, however, if you re-take the course.
