I go to a very small and unique school in southeastern PA. There are 21 students in my 11th grade. The school is onsite, but the assignments are given online, allowing my school to partner with a cyber school to teach elective classes.

The cyber school offers foreign language classes, but I’ve tried them and they’re quite awful; I don’t remember a thing from Spanish I.

Because of these poorly-run classes, the school also offers Rosetta Stone Total-E courses. I completed Italian level one of five last year, and I’m beginning level two this year (obviously).

However, I’ve heard rumours that college don’t see Rosetta Stone as a legitimate foreign language, even though I’m learning far more than I would be through the school itself.

So, I’m wondering, as the title of the post suggests- is Rosetta Stone a legitimate foreign language? Will colleges accept it? If not, I need to begin taking Spanish II ASAP.

Thanks for any help you can give.
