Does ross look at the two semesters equally?

I managed to get a 4.0 first semester

Econ 101 A+
physics 140 A
physics 141 A
ENGR 101 A

I realize that these should give me a big leg up, but I am worried my second semester will bring it down substantially. I am taking english 125, engr 100 sec 450, calc 2, and stats 250.

really all I want to know is do they look at first semester more than second semester? cuz that’d be sick

damn you make my gpa look like crap in comparison lol.

They look at both semesters. That is why they wait until late May to make their decision. You do not have to have another 4.0. If you have a 3.7+ cumulative GPA, and at least a B in each subject, you should be in good shape.

I’m sure they don’t look at just one semester. They will wait until your grades for second semester are posted. In general, if you have a downward trend but are still within an acceptable range, then that won’t hurt you too much. A big factor in admissions is interest level, which is taken very seriously. Everybody applying will most likely have the academic competency and a list of activities on their resume. So then, it will come down to your essays, commitment to your activities, and stuff like that. Your activities should be ones that you can really talk about with substance. Don’t do something just to check the box.
